RCSC-Prayaas has already started a state of art centre for treatment of children suffering from Learning Disability (LD) in its building. Special Educators (L.D.) are visiting the various schools of the tri-city to identify the children suffering from Learning Disability and refer them to Prayaas for further treatment. Under this initiative, we train and sensitize the teachers who are able to detect the problem at an early age. For this we also organize seminars and workshops.

A course of Teacher Training in D.Ed. Cerebral Palsy (S.E.) is also starting from August 2014,for the teachers who will look after the children suffering with Cerebral Palsy. Treatment of Cerebral Palsy at an early stage prevents complications and children are therefore able to look after themselves better. This will be the only centre in the Northern India including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir.

A centre for the treatment of children suffering with Autism is starting at Prayaas and will be functional soon.

A special school is being run for various physically and mentally challenged children. Under this school, we have 33 children and they are managed & taught so as to become self sufficient in their daily needs. Vocational training is also being given along with training in Music and Arts & Crafts.

The cost of Hydrotherapy Pool envisages at the moment will be around Rs. 10.00 crores only and hopefully it will be functional by the end of this year. These pools are at advanced stage with drawings have been finalized and construction is going to start soon.
These pools will be unique in the northern India, with no such activity in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir.
